We propose that stable, long-term funding, and thorough investigation of poorly understood and/or unexplored luminous phenomena occurring in the low atmosphere could lead to the creation of new inter-disciplinary research programs in multiple universities, and ultimately, to important fundamental discoveries in the field of atmospheric science, photonics and beyond. Here, we present the results of a survey indicating a significant support from a subset of the academic community to investigate rare, unusual and unexplained atmospheric light phenomena that have historically been unexplored by scientists — the transient luminous phenomena in the valley of Hessdalen in Norway in particular. ![]() To investigate or not to investigate? Researchers' views on unexplored atmospheric light phenomenaįor hundreds of years, scientists have been studying light, which is used nowadays to explore the universe and cure diseases. The state of knowledge of long-lived light phenomena in the atmosphere is reviewed in the light of contributions to the International Interdisciplinary Congress on Unsolved Problems of Atmospheric Electricity, September 1993, Salzburg, Austria and the First International Workshop on Unidentified Atmospheric Light Phenomena, March 1994, Hessdalen, Norway. If the surface of the object produces a maximum reflection, then those materials are considered good reflectors of light.CONFERENCES AND SYMPOSIA: Long-lived light phenomena in the atmosphere What are the examples of good reflectors of light? All the three rays, the initial ray, the reflected ray, and the point at which both the rays strike and emit perpendicular called ordinary ray, always lie in the same plane. When any beam of light rays falls on a surface without irregularities, the angle at which light strikes the surface must always be equal to the angle at which it gets reflected, also known as a reflected ray. ![]() The main aspects of laws of Reflection that must be satisfied by the beam of light wavefronts for proceeding the process of Reflection are mentioned below, Helps in identifying the minor mistakes using a microscope What are the main aspects of the laws of Reflection?.The critical and different applications of Reflection of light examples that help in leading smooth life is as shown below, Mention the different applications of Reflection of light? Both the rays of light will be straight in nature. The light ray or wavefront that comes back in the opposite direction is reflected. In this process, a particular beam of the incident called the initial wavefront of light strikes on a particular medium and comes back in the opposite direction with the same intensity. The meaning of Reflection also indicates that self-images are observed with the help of light. The phenomenon of Reflection of light signifies how everything around us is visible to us in different colors. Frequently Asked Questions | FAQs What is the actual meaning of Reflection of light? These are some essential and precise reflections of light examples in nature. The incident light rays hit an angle and reflected in the opposite direction in the same path. This Reflection is possible when the light in the process of Reflection obeys the law of Reflection. We see our self-reflection in mirrors to know we look when we get ready to go out somewhere. The mirror images are one of the daily Reflection of light examples.
